KBQ stands for Karice Baker-Quow – the name of your future coach!
It’s pronounced Kereese Baker-Quo (as in status quo). You’ll notice that there is no ‘L’ or ‘T’ in my name so if you call me Klarice or Katrice be prepared for some serious bombastic side-eye!
I was born and currently reside in London, UK. I have worked for several local and national charities. and have volunteered as a mentor, parent’s helpline advisor and employment coach.
Background
I specialise in personal development coaching which includes but isn’t limited to; confidence-building, improving resilience, coping with change and conflict resolution. My experiences as a black woman with albinism and visual impairment have presented situations where I have had to navigate areas of race, gender and disability both in the workplace and wider society, so I have skills and experience in these areas that I draw upon to allow me to understand multiple perspectives.
What I have learned from these experiences is that, just because we find ourselves in bad situations or a poor state of mind, it doesn’t mean we have to stay there. With commitment, perseverance, determination, and the right kinds of support we can deal with these challenges head-on and reach our potential one goal at a time.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to have received some amazing support from the right kinds of people and now, as a qualified coach, I want to be that support for you.
